FraserStudios Visual Arts Residency : image by Arunas Photography

Many Congrats !!!! to Melissah Chalker and Sophie Wolfson Keeling from this years Honours program @ NAS, for applying for and receiving a collaborative residency @ FraserStudios in Chippendale. Well done !!!!

Their proposed 10am/10pm Project aims to investigate the relationship between natural and artificial light and its effect on form, shape, colour and object. It is a collaborative duo project involving two artists that share the same subject matter of geometry and light but differ in process, media and sensibility.

Initiated by Frasers Property in September 2008 as a temporary activation of otherwise vacant warehouses on their ‘Central Park’ development site, FraserStudios is now a thriving multi-disciplinary arts space, managed by Queen Street Studio.

The FraserStudios VISUAL ARTS RESIDENCY Program on the 1st and 2nd floors of Studio 10 offers FREE work space in a 3-storey heritage building located at 10 Kensington Street, Chippendale; a building that, in its lifetime has been a fire station, a police car impound and a rum store. It is a rustic warehouse space with a common ground floor for all artists to share and 4-5 workspace areas on both the first and second floors. All floors are open-plan so the ability to work in a shared space with other artists is a prerequisite.
